Miner Feinstein provided design services for the extensive renovation and space programming and planning of an existing seven-story plus basement building.
The general scope of the renovation included a full gut renovation of the building and replacement of all systems. The dwelling units were reconfigured to reduce from the existing 100 units (efficiencies, one-and two-bedrooms) to 76 one-bedroom dwelling units. The ground floor was completely reconfigured for offices and amenity spaces. Four dwelling units, or 5% of the total number of apartment units on site, were designed as accessible for compliance with the Uniform Federal Accessibility Standards (UFAS).
The renovation pursued Enterprise Green Communities Certification, and as such incorporated several sustainable design concepts including, but not limited to, water conservation, energy efficiency, material selections and waste management, and healthy living environment.
